Trump pays respects to late Queen during state visit
Spectacular RAF flypast over Windsor for Trump's UK state visit
US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania have visited Queen Elizabeth II's tomb at St George's Chapel during their state visit to the UK.
They spent approximately 10 minutes privately at the monarch's final resting place, laying a wreath and touring the ancient gothic building.
The president described the visit as a “great honour” and “very special”; he previously characterised Queen Elizabeth II as “a spectacular woman” with whom he had “automatic chemistry”.
During their tour, they were informed about the chapel's history, including the tombs of 11 monarchs, and listened to a performance by young choir members.
Mr Trump is being treated to three days of hospitality during his visit, including an opulent state banquet.
