  • Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper says Britain is "ready to act" following US President Donald Trump's suggestion that Nato countries should shoot down intruding Russian planes.
  • Speaking at the UN, Ms Cooper condemned Moscow's "provocative and reckless" violations of Nato airspace in Estonia, Poland, and Romania.
  • Nato confirmed it would respond to Russian aerial incursions with "military and non-military tools", condemning a recent incursion by three MiG-31 jets as part of a wider pattern of irresponsible behaviour.
  • Mr Trump expressed a belief that Ukraine can reclaim all lost territory, marking a significant change from his earlier stance advocating for concessions to Russia.
