The UK government has announced £27 million in new humanitarian funding to support over 500,000 Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper unveiled the package, which will provide food, shelter, clean water, and healthcare services.
The aid also includes funding for sexual and reproductive health services for 175,000 women and girls, and specialised support for survivors of sexual, physical, and mental harm.
This funding addresses a crisis nearing collapse, as Bangladesh's interim leader Muhammad Yunus warned of severe shortfalls and dwindling international aid.
Previous funding cuts, including those by the US, had led to the closure of schools and a reduction in food rations and healthcare services in the refugee camps.
