  • The previous record for Wales was 26.5C dating back to 1991, and 23.8C for Northern Ireland.
  • The remnants of Hurricane Erin will bring rain and wind, initially affecting the west of the UK on Tuesday and continuing throughout the week.
  • This change in weather will see temperatures drop to the high teens in the north and low twenties in the south.
  • Despite the arrival of Erin's remnants, no UK weather warnings are currently in place.
