Where temperatures broke records over the bank holiday
Polar bears cool down in Yorkshire lake as UK braces another heatwave
The UK experienced record-breaking temperatures on the bank holiday, reaching 29.1C in the village of Hawarden in Flintshire and 24.5C in Magilligan, Londonderry.
The previous record for Wales was 26.5C dating back to 1991, and 23.8C for Northern Ireland.
The remnants of Hurricane Erin will bring rain and wind, initially affecting the west of the UK on Tuesday and continuing throughout the week.
This change in weather will see temperatures drop to the high teens in the north and low twenties in the south.
Despite the arrival of Erin's remnants, no UK weather warnings are currently in place.
