Parts of the UK are expected to be warmer than Ibiza and Corfu on Thursday, the first day of spring, with temperatures reaching a possible 19°C in the south of England.
This is significantly higher than the average March temperature of 9.2°C.
Temperatures are forecast to increase throughout the week, with London and the South East potentially reaching 17-18°C, and even Scotland experiencing above-average temperatures.
Manchester, Sheffield, and Liverpool are also expected to enjoy warmer weather, with temperatures between 13-15°C. Skies are predicted to be clear for the beginning of the week, with some cloud cover in the west.
This warm spell contrasts with Istanbul, which will experience a significant temperature drop after a warm weekend.
