Farms engulfed in flames after Russia’s overnight attacks on Odesa
Russian President Vladimir Putin declared a unilateral Easter ceasefire in Ukraine, starting from 6pm Moscow time on Saturday until midnight on April 21.
Putin expressed hope that Ukraine would reciprocate the ceasefire, but also stated that Russian forces were prepared for potential Ukrainian "violations and provocations."
This announcement comes as U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to abandon peace talks between Russia and Ukraine if no immediate progress is observed.
Trump stated that if either side obstructs the peace process, the US would withdraw from negotiations.
Russia's Defence Ministry confirmed the ceasefire, stating it would be upheld if Ukraine also complied.
