- US President Donald Trump has criticised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for not accepting a peace deal with Russia, claiming an agreement was near.
- Mr Trump accused Mr Zelensky of prolonging the conflict by refusing to cede Crimea, and said he must sign a deal or lose his country.
- Mr Zelensky maintains that Crimea is Ukrainian territory and not up for negotiation.
- US officials have presented a peace proposal which would allow Russia to retain control of some occupied Ukrainian territory.
- Vice-President JD Vance earlier threatened US withdrawal from peace talks if the proposal wasn't accepted.
