Suspicious package found on campus ahead of Turning Point event
'Controlled explosion' on suspicious package before TPUSA event at Utah State campus
A suspicious package was discovered at Utah State University on Tuesday, 30 September, leading to the evacuation of a campus building.
Law enforcement officials carried out a controlled detonation of the package, which was subsequently deemed to be non-explosive.
The university confirmed that all scheduled events could resume as normal following the incident.
The discovery occurred ahead of a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event, the first in the state since the killing of its founder, Charlie Kirk, on 10 September.
