  • A wallaby has been spotted running loose in the countryside on the Norfolk and Suffolk border, leading to a police appeal.
  • The first sighting occurred on Monday in Ilketshall St Andrew, with a second report a day later in Wisset, about seven miles away.
  • Suffolk Constabulary has urged anyone who sees the wallaby to contact them or the RSPCA.
  • It is currently unclear if the wallaby is an escapee or part of Britain's wild wallaby population, as no local animal sanctuaries have reported it missing.
  • Wild wallabies are not uncommon in the UK, with established colonies existing in Scotland and a large population on the Isle of Man.
