Wes Streeting tells Liz Truss to ‘keep your head down’ after economy comments
Wes Streeting slams Liz Truss for lecturing govt on economy
Wes Streeting criticised former prime minister Liz Truss for lecturing the Labour government on the economy, telling her to "keep her head down".
The health secretary said that Rachel Reeves should not take advice from Ms Truss, who had chastised the chancellor for pushing "economic orthodoxy".
Mr Streeting described Ms Truss's mini-Budget, which led to economic turmoil, as a form of "self-inflicted harm".
He added that Labour would not accept lectures from Ms Truss and resents former Conservatives complaining while Labour addresses the issues they left behind.
