  • Cameron Norrie has praised Carlos Alcaraz’s “unreal” level after being defeated by him in straight sets during the Wimbledon quarter-finals.
  • Norrie called the Spaniard “probably the best player in the world at the moment” and the tournament favourite.
  • Despite the loss, Norrie said he is happy with how he performed at Wimbledon, is “enjoying my tennis a lot”, and will “take so much confidence from this”.
  • His performance will see him climb back to approximately 43 in the world rankings.
  • Alcaraz, who secured his 19th consecutive win at the All England Club, will now face American fifth seed Taylor Fritz in the semi-finals.
