Kylian Mbappe's lawyers have made a precautionary seizure of close to £50 million in unpaid wages from his former club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Mbappe alleges the Parisians owe him €55 million in wages, and his legal team has initiated court proceedings in Paris.
A court hearing is scheduled for May 26, with Mbappe's lawyers planning to "go on the attack" to resolve the year-long dispute.
They are also requesting intervention from the French sports minister and UEFA, claiming PSG's breach of salary obligations could jeopardise their Champions League licence.
This legal battle unfolds as Real Madrid, Mbappe's current club, and PSG are on the same side of the Champions League draw, raising the possibility of a face-off between Mbappe and his former team.
