Lewis Hamilton’s F1 fashion rebuke: ‘You can’t change the way I dress’

  • He recalled facing disapproval for his attire early in his career and feeling uncomfortable being forced to conform to traditional F1 dress codes.
  • Hamilton eventually challenged these norms, choosing to wear his own clothing in the paddock, which influenced other drivers to do the same.
  • This season, however, he has mostly worn team attire.
  • Currently seventh in the driver standings, Hamilton – who will co-host the Met Gala in New York City in May – is aiming for a record eighth world championship.
