England victory parade highlights as thousands celebrate Euro 2025 victory
The England Women’s football team, the Lionesses, celebrated their European Championships victory with thousands of fans outside Buckingham Palace.
The team paraded along The Mall on Tuesday, following their penalty shootout win against Spain in the Euros final in Basel, Switzerland.
Manager Sarina Wiegman and captain Leah Williamson addressed the cheering crowds, with Williamson expressing her emotion at the overwhelming support.
Chloe Kelly, who scored the winning penalty, said “it’s so f****** special” while Alessia Russo, who scored the equaliser, described the celebrations as “unreal” and “surreal”.
Manager Sarina Wiegman danced alongside afrobeat star Burna Boy on stage before captain Leah Williamson lifted the trophy in the air to huge cheers.
