Fans urged to stop betting on children’s baseball games
Clarendon Hills Little League coach talks Word Series game | ChicagoNOW
Little League International has urged fans to cease betting on games involving children, asserting there is no place for such activity in youth sports.
Officials emphasised that Little League is a trusted environment for children to learn fundamentals, teamwork, and integrity, and their performances should not be exploited for personal gain.
While major sportsbooks generally avoid taking bets on youth tournaments, unregulated overseas operators continue to offer odds, operating without taxes or consumer protections.
BetOnline.ag, an unlicensed offshore gambling site, is highlighted as one such operator that continues to offer betting markets on the Little League World Series despite legal challenges.
The plea comes as the 2025 Little League World Series, featuring 10-12 year old participants, is currently underway in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
