Ricky Hatton’s family confirm route for boxing icon’s funeral procession as fans prepare to pay respects

- Ricky Hatton's family has confirmed the funeral procession route for the boxing icon, who died aged 46 this month.
- The funeral will take place at Manchester Cathedral on Friday ,10 October, with the procession scheduled to begin at 9.45am.
- The cortege will start at the Chesire Cheese pub in Hyde, passing through several significant locations including Hatton’s Gym and Hyde Town Hall.
- Doves will be released in Hatton’s honour at The New Inn, before the procession continues to Manchester Cathedral for a private service and then to the Etihad Stadium.
- Members of the public are invited to line the route to pay their respects, following an outpouring of tributes from his son Campbell and a family statement.
