Fans invited to line streets to share final goodbyes to Ricky Hatton
Ricky Hatton's friend Steve Bunce sheds light on boxer's final days
Ricky Hatton's family has confirmed the funeral procession route for the boxing icon, who died aged 46 this month.
The funeral will take place at Manchester Cathedral on Friday ,10 October, with the procession scheduled to begin at 9.45am.
The cortege will start at the Chesire Cheese pub in Hyde, passing through several significant locations including Hatton’s Gym and Hyde Town Hall.
Doves will be released in Hatton’s honour at The New Inn, before the procession continues to Manchester Cathedral for a private service and then to the Etihad Stadium.
Members of the public are invited to line the route to pay their respects, following an outpouring of tributes from his son Campbell and a family statement.
