Tyrrell Hatton rejected US captain Keegan Bradley's claim that European Ryder Cup fans were as vicious as American fans, stating Rome was not comparable to New York.
Hatton, whose half point secured Europe's outright victory in New York, believes the atmosphere at the next Ryder Cup in Adare Manor, Ireland, will not be as hostile.
Bradley had defended the 'passionate' home fans in New York and suggested European fans in Rome two years prior were also 'violent'.
Hatton strongly disagreed with Bradley's assessment, asserting that the two events were 'quite far apart' in terms of fan conduct.
Fellow European team member Tommy Fleetwood also commented on the difference between a hostile environment and personal comments, hoping personal abuse does not happen again.
