  • Lando Norris has vented anger towards Max Verstappen following a contentious incident at the start of the Italian Grand Prix, which the Dutchman went on to win.
  • The McLaren driver labelled Verstappen an "idiot" after the Red Bull star cut a corner at Variante del Rettifilo during the first lap.
  • Norris had gone off track before getting ahead of Verstappen, who then retook the lead by cutting the chicane.
  • Norris demanded Verstappen concede the position back, stating the Dutchman “went to defend and went long”.
  • Verstappen also complained about Norris's driving on his team radio, claiming Norris “let the brakes go on, mate. On purpose”.
