Son of French football legend earns call-up for national team

- Luca Zidane, son of France legend Zinedine Zidane, has been called up to Algeria’s squad for this month's World Cup qualifiers.
- The goalkeeper switched his allegiance to Algeria, the country of his grandparents' origin, a move approved by FIFA last month.
- Zidane, 27, who previously played for France at junior level, currently plays for Spanish second-division club Granada.
- He is expected to feature in matches against Somalia on 9 October and Uganda on 14 October.
- Algeria leads Group G and requires a win in either of these two remaining matches to secure qualification for next year's World Cup in North America.
