THE LOOK AND FEEL
The attention to detail is evident from the moment you enter the grand lobby, from the subtle Arabian accents such as the swathes of fresh flowers and patterned carvings on the ceilings to the huge windows with views of lines of palms and a long lawn leading to the beach. There's a gold mosaic wall and lots of cream marble, and the ornate décor continues throughout the hotel.

The resort's numerous facilities include a 24-hour fitness centre, spa, beauty salon, men's grooming lounge, private beach with water sports, tennis courts, an outdoor adults-only quiet pool, a family-friendly pool, an indoor pool, a kid's club, 12 restaurants, bars and clubs, a business centre, free valet parking and two Bentley house cars.
