THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Fowey Hall Hotel sits on a quiet hillside in the charming town of Fowey, with acres of beautifully manicured gardens and spectacular estuary views. The nearest beach is just a fifteen-minute walk away, and there are plenty of family-friendly activities available, from kayaking and canoeing to sailing and swimming. Stroll along the Esplanade, sip a pint of local ale in a traditional riverside pub and watch the dayboats bring in their catch, before browsing the array of boutiques, galleries and artisan suppliers.

By car: Fowey is around 15 minutes off the A390 from the Eden Project via Par. Exeter is an hour and 30 minutes down the A30.

By train: Par station is a 10-minute drive from the hotel and serviced by Great Western Railways to Penzance (1 hr), Plymouth (50 mins), Newquay (52 mins) and Exeter St. David's (1 hr 55 mins). Book trains to Par.

By air: Newquay airport (45-minute drive).
