Broadway village is one of the Cotswolds' most renowned beauty spots, and crowds tend to descend here, but at the end of the lovely High Street, The Broadway Hotel is a haven of calm and charm. There's a front terrace which looks out onto the village green, very much the focus of local life in spring and summer, as well as a back terrace, hidden away in a garden only open to hotel guests. Contemporary-chic furnishings harmonise with the sense of history: old stone fireplaces and diamond leaded windows are offset by bold wallpaper and clever lighting. There's a bright brasserie serving modern British cuisine, a quiet sitting room, a tall bar serving up impressive cocktails and 19 stylish bedrooms.
