THE LOOK AND FEEL

Staying in a Hoxton hotel automatically means you're in stylish surroundings. The spacious, high-ceilinged lobby has hardwood steps down to an open kitchen for the restaurant, with a brass-topped bar to one side and a welcoming lounge area on the other. It has retro sofas and velvet armchairs, trailing plants, bookshelves and a welcoming big grey tiled fireplace and fire. A glass wall opens onto an attractive courtyard. The front desk is hidden away around a corner.

THE FACILITIES

The hotel is perhaps low on facilities but makes up for it with its lovely public areas such as the lobby lounge, coffee bar, restaurant, bar and rooftop. There's no concierge, fitness centre or spa, but discount passes are available for nearby ones. Instead of mini-bars in the guest rooms, beers, wines and sweet and savoury snacks are available to buy in the lobby.
