- Shafi stated on Newsnight that she felt pressured into accepting this "solution" and was "flabbergasted" by the offer, feeling she was being "silenced into extinction".
- Gregg Wallace was dismissed from the BBC after an independent report substantiated 45 allegations against him.
- John Torode was also fired following the upholding of a claim against him for using an "extremely offensive racist term".
