Unassuming UK town transformed for Marvel blockbuster

Tom Holland transforms UK town into New York as Spider-Man filming continues
  • Basingstoke in Hampshire has been transformed to resemble 1970s New York for the shooting of the upcoming film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
  • The scene featured a Spider-Man, unclear whether Holland or a stunt double, calling on armed police while sliding across a mat and being pulled by an army truck.
  • Filming for the sequel had been suspended on 19 September after Tom Holland reportedly suffered a concussion when a stunt line snapped.
  • Paramedics were called to Leavesden Studios in Watford following the incident that led to his injury.
  • Holland provided an update on his health via Instagram, confirming he was “feeling better and on the mend” after attending a charity event.
