  • MPs in the House of Commons have voted in favour of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill.
  • The vote was 314 in favour to 219 against.
  • The bill aims to legalise the right for terminally ill individuals in England and Wales to end their lives with medical assistance.
  • The legislation will now proceed to the House of Lords for further scrutiny, with proposer Kim Leadbeater expressing emotion as it passed.
