Biden’s blistering assessment of Trump’s first 100 days in office
'What the hell is going on?': Biden responds to Trump presidency in first interview since leaving White House
In his first interview since leaving office, former U.S. President Joe Biden has criticised Donald Trump's handling of Vladimir Putin and the Russia-Ukraine conflict, calling it "modern-day appeasement."
Biden expressed concern over Trump's rhetoric and actions, such as threatening Greenland and suggesting the U.S. could acquire the Panama Canal.
He defended his administration's support for Ukraine and condemned the suggestion of ceding Ukrainian territory to Russia.
Biden also discussed his decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, stating it was difficult but ultimately the right choice.
He contrasted the state of the economy and global influence during his term with the current situation under Trump's second term, saying: “I don't see anything that was triumphant.”
