Bullet casing 'engravings' revealed as Tyler Robinson is identified as Charlie Kirk suspect
Tyler Robinson, 22, was apprehended after a manhunt following the fatal shooting of Republican activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.
Robinson reportedly confessed or implied his guilt to a family member and had become “more political” in recent years, expressing negative views of Kirk.
Kirk, 31, co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot while hosting a “Prove Me Wrong” segment on campus, discussing gun violence.
Authorities found the rifle used in the attack with engraved ammunition, including political messages, and recovered Discord messages from Robinson discussing the shooting.
Robinson is currently held in a Utah County jail on charges including aggravated murder, with Governor Spencer Cox indicating that charging documents will be filed within three days.
