President Donald Trump and key figures from his "Make America Great Again" movement will attend a memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Arizona.
Kirk, 31, was assassinated on 10 September at a Utah college campus, an event President Trump credits with significantly contributing to his 2024 election victory.
His death has sparked a heated debate on violence and free speech, with President Trump blaming the "radical left" and threatening action against those he deems critics.
Retaliation against individuals making "offensive" comments about Kirk has led to job losses and a First Amendment debate, including the indefinite suspension of Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show.
Kirk founded Turning Point, a multimillion-dollar organisation mobilising young Christian conservatives, and his widow, Erika Kirk, has vowed to continue his movement.
