Ukraine’s underwater explosion attack on Crimean Bridge caught on camera
Ukraine blows up bridge linking Russia and Crimea
Ukraine's special forces blew up a section of the bridge linking Russia and Crimea.
The Crimean Bridge, also known as the Kerch Bridge, is a 12-mile-long structure connecting Russia with the Crimean Peninsula, which Russia annexed in 2014.
Video footage shows an underwater explosion destroying a pillar of the bridge.
Ukraine’s SBU stated that the bridge was rigged with 1,100kg of explosives and is considered a legitimate target because Russia uses it to supply troops.
The SBU vowed that there is “no place for any illegal Russian facilities on the territory of our state”.
