He is alleged to have been monitoring the RAF Akrotiri base and is suspected of having links with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Intelligence suggested the man was planning an imminent terrorist attack, leading to his arrest on Friday.
The man was reportedly observed near RAF Akrotiri, a critical UK airbase for Middle East operations, carrying a camera with a long lens and multiple mobile phones.
