Three killed as helicopter crashes on Isle of Wight during flight lesson
  • The third victim of a helicopter crash on the Isle of Wight has been named by his “broken” family as Simon Hewitt, after Justyna Czoska and Wojtek Kowalkowski were identified on Tuesday.
  • The incident occurred near Shanklin on Monday morning, with a fourth person on board currently in hospital in a serious condition.
  • Ms Czoska and Mr Kowalkowski were a couple on the flight as a birthday gift, and a GoFundMe page has been established to repatriate their bodies to Poland.
  • The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has launched an inquiry into the crash, which is expected to take a year to complete.
  • Witnesses reported seeing the Northumbria Helicopters-operated aircraft, a Robinson R44 II, 'spiralling' before it crashed.
