Netanyahu seeking ‘full occupation’ of Gaza – reports
Brother of Israeli hostage urges immediate aid to captives
US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are reportedly pursuing an 'all or nothing' agreement to end the conflict in Gaza, demanding Hamas release all hostages and disarm.
US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff reportedly confirmed the strategy in a conversation with families of Israeli hostages, saying that a piecemeal approach would not work and all hostages must return.
Reports suggest Mr Netanyahu intends a “full occupation” of the Gaza Strip, including areas where Israeli hostages are currently held.
International pressure for a ceasefire has intensified due to widespread starvation in Gaza and distressing videos of Israeli hostages in Hamas captivity.
Retired Israeli security officials have urged Mr Trump to exert pressure on Israel to immediately end the war in Gaza.
