‘Genuinely upset’: Jeremy Vine quits posting cycling videos over abuse

  • Presenter Jeremy Vine has decided to stop posting cycling videos on social media due to excessive trolling and abuse.
  • He cited hateful messages, including death threats and wishes for him to be “crushed under a truck”, as the reason for his decision. The anger the videos generated “genuinely upset me”, he said.
  • Mr Vine's intention was to raise road safety awareness by sharing his commutes, which he filmed with a helmet camera.
  • His bike was recently stolen, and police are investigating threats made against him.
  • He plans to continue cycling privately but will no longer share his experiences online.
