Huge crowds of Kneecap supporters outside court as Mo Chara appears on terrorism charge
Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, known as Mo Chara from the band Kneecap, has appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court facing a terrorism charge.
He is accused of displaying a flag in support of Hezbollah, a proscribed terrorist organisation, at a gig in November. He was released on unconditional bail to reappear in court on 20 August.
Large crowds of Kneecap fans gathered outside the court to show support for Mo Chara, holding placards.
Kneecap has publicly stated that they have never supported either Hamas or Hezbollah, both of which are banned in the UK.
