The warning is in place from 8pm on Sunday until 6pm on Monday, affecting London and South East England, North West England, South West England, and Wales.
Gusts are expected to reach 50 to 60mph, with up to 70 to 80mph possible in most exposed coastal and hilly locations; people are advised to stay safe while walking along cliffs and shores.
Forecasters warn of potential disruptions and delays to road, rail, air, and ferry transport, with a small chance of road and bridge closures.
There is also a slight risk of power cuts and impacts on mobile phone coverage, with coastal communities potentially affected by spray and large waves.
