Major wildfire spreads across North Yorkshire Moors
A major wildfire is spreading across the North Yorkshire Moors, with an estimated 2,000 acres ablaze.
The blaze, which re-ignited on Tuesday on Langdale Moor, originally started two weeks prior.
Gamekeepers are attempting to back burn the fire to prevent its spread, while fire brigades and local farmers are working together to control it.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service has deployed nine appliances and special equipment, with partner agencies assisting, and has urged the public to avoid the area.
