Backlash to Tony Blair’s involvement in Gaza peace plan

- A key component of the plan involves a transitional governing committee for Gaza, overseen by an international "Board of Peace", with Mr Trump indicating that Sir Tony Blair wishes to join this board.
- Wes Streeting, the health secretary, acknowledged that Sir Tony’s potential role would "raise eyebrows" due to his Iraq War legacy but highlighted his success in brokering the Good Friday Agreement.
