Dashcam footage released by Merseyside Police shows a man ramming a quad bike into a police car in Kensington on Tuesday.
The incident occurred after officers approached the man, who was pushing a quad bike without a registration plate, and he narrowly missed an officer while crashing.
The man flipped over the vehicle's bonnet and was taken to hospital for treatment before being discharged.
A 29-year-old man from Everton was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle, driving without a licence or insurance, and possessing criminal property.
