  • At least six people have died after a tourist submarine, the Sindbad, sank in Egypt's Red Sea near Hurghada.
  • The submarine, which can hold 44 passengers, was reportedly carrying 45, including children, all believed to be Russian nationals.
  • Nine people were injured, four critically, and taken to nearby hospitals, while 29 others were rescued.
  • The cause of the sinking is currently unconfirmed.
  • The Sindbad offered underwater views of the Red Sea's coral reefs and was advertised as one of only 14 "real recreational submarines" worldwide.
