  • Russia launched a missile attack on Sumy, Ukraine, on Palm Sunday, killing 34 and wounding 117.
  • US President Donald Trump called the attack "terrible" and stated he had been told the Russians “made a mistake”.
  • Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has invited Mr Trump to visit Ukraine to witness the devastation firsthand.
  • EU foreign ministers plan to discuss new sanctions against Russia and security guarantees for Ukraine.
  • Western leaders have condemned the attack, with some calling it a "war crime" and criticising Russia for undermining peace efforts.
