Woody Allen backs Cuomo in NYC mayor race: ‘He’ll just do a better job’
Andrew Cuomo announces he is staying in New York mayoral race
Controversial director Woody Allen has publicly endorsed Andrew Cuomo in the New York City mayoral race.
Allen stated on the Honesty with Bari Weiss podcast that Cuomo would be 'much better for New York' and more efficient than current frontrunner Zohran Mamdani.
A recent Marist poll indicates Mamdani leads with 45 percent of the vote, with Cuomo in second place at 24 percent.
Allen described Mamdani as 'inexperienced' compared to Cuomo, who he believes 'knows New York'.
Both Allen and Cuomo have faced significant controversies, with Allen denying sexual assault allegations and Cuomo resigning as governor amid sexual harassment claims.
