Liverpool reveals planned Diogo Jota tributes at Preston North End friendly

Drone footage captures powerful outpouring of Diogo Jota tributes at Anfield
  • Liverpool will play their first pre-season fixture against Preston North End at Deepdale on Sunday.
  • The match will feature extensive tributes to Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, who died in a car crash in Spain on 3 July.
  • Tributes will include a minute's silence, a rendition of “You'll Never Walk Alone”, a wreath-laying by Preston captain Ben Whiteman, and both teams wearing black armbands.
  • Digital tributes will be displayed on screens and hoardings, and a commemorative matchday programme will be distributed free to ticket holders.
  • Head coach Arne Slot and several Liverpool players attended Jota's funeral in Portugal, and Steven Gerrard also paid respects at Anfield.
