New England cricket coach Charlotte Edwards has warned her squad that she is implementing minimum fitness standards, starting next year.
It comes after criticism of the team's athleticism during their Ashes series loss to Australia.
Edwards has emphasised the need for more accountability and says players are aware of her expectations.
No specific standards have been set yet, allowing players to focus on individual improvement before the World Cup in India.
Edwards has also established a leadership group, rather than a vice-captain, to support new captain Nat Sciver-Brunt, including Charlie Dean, Sophia Dunkley, and Amy Jones.
