  • Sir Jim Ratcliffe, co-owner of Manchester United, has seen his wealth decrease by £6.473 billion, a 25 per cent drop, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.
  • His current wealth is estimated at £17.046 billion, down from £23.519 billion a year ago.
  • Since acquiring a 27.7 per cent stake in Manchester United for £1.25 billion in 2024, Sir Jim’s Ineos group has implemented cost-cutting measures at the club, including ticket price increases and staff redundancies.
  • Despite these measures, Manchester United plans to construct a new £2 billion stadium.
  • Ineos, meanwhile, has seen its debt rise to £8.8 billion and posted losses of £124.4 million in the past year, though Sir Jim insists this won't affect the football club.
