  • Tommy Fleetwood secured his maiden PGA Tour victory by winning the Tour Championship and clinching the FedEx Cup.
  • He triumphed over fellow overnight leader Patrick Cantlay by three strokes at East Lake, finishing the tournament at -18.
  • The win marks a significant breakthrough for Fleetwood, who had previously recorded 29 top-five finishes on the PGA Tour without a victory since 1983.
  • Despite recent agonising near misses, including at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, Fleetwood maintained composure to secure the win.
  • The victory earned Fleetwood the $10m top prize and strengthens his position for the upcoming Ryder Cup as part of Luke Donald's team.
