Laura Kenny opens up on how fertility issues led her to retire from cycling
Great Britain’s most successful female Olympian has opened up on how fertility issues led her to retire from cycling.
Laura Kenny recently announced she was stepping down from competing, just four months before Paris 2024.
Kenny appeared on Good Morning Britain on Friday (26 April) and explained how struggling to conceive her second child changed her mindset on life and led to her decision to end her cycling career.
She said: “I was getting asked when I was going to go on training camps and what races I wanted to target, and the more I got asked, the more it filled me with dread.”
