Greggs staff reveal secret codes baked into pasties
  • Greggs is set to open its first-ever pub, The Golden Flake Tavern, inside the Fenwick department store in Eldon Square, Newcastle.
  • The unique pub will launch on Saturday, 27 September, and will operate for approximately five months, closing on 15 February next year.
  • It will offer exclusive beers, a Greggs-inspired cocktail menu, and 15 traditional pub dishes with a Greggs twist, including chicken bake parmo and steak bake mixed grill.
  • A distinctive Sunday carvery will feature Greggs bakes such as steak bake or chicken bake as the main course, accompanied by classic trimmings.
  • This venture marks the latest collaboration between Greggs and Fenwick, following previous successful pop-ups like Bistro Greggs and the Greggs Champagne Bar.
