  • Donald Trump is scheduled to attend the US Open men’s final on Sunday, marking his first visit to the tournament in a decade.
  • His attendance will make him the first sitting president to be present at a US Open final since Bill Clinton in 2000.
  • Trump had been a regular at the US Open in New York but stopped attending after being booed in 2015, shortly after launching his presidential campaign.
  • The men’s final will see the winner of the Novak Djokovic versus Carlos Alcaraz semi-final face either Jannik Sinner or Felix Auger-Aliassime.
  • Should Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner meet in the final, it would be their third consecutive Grand Slam final encounter this year, with the World No 1 ranking also at stake.
