Harry Potter fans: Discover your Patronus on Pottermore
Will yours be a Stag? Wolf? Orca?
Through Pottermore, JK Rowling has managed to keep the quantity of Harry Potter content flowing, releasing various essays, quizzes, and pieces of artwork through the website.
On Thursday, Pottermore released a new feature to rival the sorting hat; the Patronus Charm quiz. Written by Rowling, participants are asked to summon their happiest memory and then answer various questions quickly while being guided around an evocative 3D dark forest.
Once you have answered the numerous multiple-choice questions, Pottermore present you with your Patronus Charm - the magical, unique creatures formed of light seen. Take the quiz here.
In the novels, Harry Potter’s Patronus is a stag, reflecting his father’s Animagus transformation. Meanwhile, Professor Snape’s is a doe, representing his love for Lily Potter, Harry’s mother.
Pottermore CEO Susan L. Jurevics said in a statement: “We are so delighted to be bringing J.K. Rowling’s most famous spell magically to life on Pottermore, for everyone to enjoy and discover their authentic Patronus, for free.
“It’s been fantastic working with J.K. Rowling and our creative and development teams to realise her vision, using the latest technology to create this little piece of magic for our site.”
